"not onerous." Yes, the Ontario economy is now improving so she'll get most of her increased revenues as result of that. She keeps her budget balanced during a time of improving economy.

The postponement of the personal and corporate tax cuts is disappointing. She is working the tax bracket creep in retaining personal income tax surtax on high earners. I found the postponements worrisome in that commitment to a better sort of economic program in Ontario, (or any part of Canada outside Alberta), isn't very old and it's the most important part of Canada - but that reaction is only partially rational on my part.

Ontario is a high tax regime nonetheless. I think its competitive position and prosperity would be better with lower taxes.

But no, that budget won't undermine the Ontario economy as it is at present.
