I agree with Bill....I'm not sure how you would separate the two. Your viewpoint is going to flow inexorably from your overall philosophical stance. A liberatarian isnt looking to enhance the greatest good. A liberal isnt looking to preserve each and every single right for the individual (in this case, doctors and those who can afford better healthcare).

Whoops, I'm too cryptic. To try to be a bit clearer, I don't consider that kind of debate a part of the "politicization of everything." What I have in mind is the kind of debate which is about only gaining political advantage, which pays no attention to the issues involved save how to spin them for political advantage. So long as that remains the case, it's difficult if not impossible to address serious policy issues.
