There was an article that George posted here a few days ago (before the USA - Mexico game), in which the Germans made a few comments that put them in the semifinals already.

The entire context was quite "arrogant" assuming that both Mexico and the USA would not present any trouble...

I found that quite extraordinary, particularly in view that with Paraguay, they barely made it...

Since then.... their tone has changed (as per the other article that Hinz posted...)

That's all... no more no less...

I think that such attitudes are actually detrimental to the team, particularly playing away from home, as the result is that you alienate the locals, who in turn start supporting the underdog... in this case the USA. just my opinion
