The real book is "The Real Lincoln" by Prof. Thomas DiLorenzo and is attempting to set forth Lincoln's views in his own words.

Lincoln says "Clay did not perceive, as I think no wise man has perceived, how (slavery) could be at once eradicated, without producing a greater evil, even to the cause of human liberty itself." (Eulogy to Henry Clay)

Talk about circular reasoning. Slavery is an affront to human liberty, but ending slavery would be even worse?

The Emancipation Proclamation banned slavery where it was not possible to ban it and allowed it to continue where it was possible to end it. Lincoln, when confronted with the reality of it all said it was a "War Act".

Some called Lincoln the "Great Dictator".
