ZH - The calls have been great but they have turned out to be so for one reason and one only and that is that despite all the economists analyzing the numbers many of which have been very good most of the tech companies are still seeing their businesses decline.

So long as that continues so you and softie will be right. When business picks up then so will the market and any rally based on a real change in the direction of corporate earnings will be full of relief and will be long and sustained.

Till then down it goes. Indeed if business continues to decline like this then why stop at 1,100. Postive P/Es are only for copmpanies whose earnings are at least stable.

The ones we are now seeing are nowhere near stable. You don't need the Turnips to predict a continued bear market in this climate.

Even with this however some stocks really don't want to drop in price. That to me is just an indication of what will happen when business picks up.

So the question really is do you see business picking up and if so when? Thats really all that counts.
Best,

L
