Hi G,

Thanks for the inspiring charts and data - full of good progress.

Why is backlog bigger?:

Cost of equipment has gone up -Cluster process and 300 MM.

I do believe that all semi equip makers are milking their backlog. They perceive capex still off into the future and technology upgrades are the only games in town.

There is a production concept called "flat line production".It is the most efficient way to produce something. No overtime - no expedited delivery or procuremnet of parts - minimal stocks of parts etc.

When running lean - flatline production is maximizing margins - I believe we see this.

I think it is a survival technique used in what Morgan calls his Phase # 1 of the recovery.

Phase #2 may or may not come - I'm still trying to deal with Phase # 1.

Scratching my itchy finger at Cohu @ 17.50.I know we are so close to the turn - but hoping for a last prewarning of somebody (don't know who MU or Dell??) to create a wash down to 15.85 ish. There is a longterm trend line from Oct 15,98 to Sept 21,01 that is crying out "touch me".

A one to 2 day washout would get it there and it would be a GREAT average down!!

Any more lenience from the market and I'm going to go crazy.gg

As always thanks for sharing your great work.

Bob
