I don't think that you will find a post where I stated the Israeli are flawless, they missed some major opportunities to have a peaceful settlement as well, but Arafat is risking losing it all, no Palestinian state ever, that can actually happen. As long as a sizeable minority, or worst, a majority, of Palestinians think that "time is on their side" and "they have nothing to lose" from the recent spate of terrorist activities, they will not have a state, if that period extends for another 25/35 years, those settlements will, de facto, be Israel, even though, "de jure" they may or may not be.
