Don't look to the US for "efficiency" in health care.

I'll use your source because it presumably is one that you would accept. However I am not not saying that I accept the stats as accurate (and I am also not challenging their accuracy at this time)


Nice post, Tim. But you leave out one variable that, I suspect but don't know, accounts for much of the differences. And that's availability of preventive medical treatment--access to regular checkups and the money to afford the suggestions offered.

I don't know the statistics, don't know if they even exist, but would bet they make a huge difference in the "real world."

I understand you are pointing to life style differences as the major variable. And that does matter. Twould be interesting to see some reliable comparative data in which the two could be compared. I doubt it's out there, however.
