OT/Gary. Can't argue with that.

You are fortunate to have the freedom to even seriously consider doing that. Most people aren't even aware of how little freedom of choice they really have. Reminds me a lot of one of my fav flicks, The Matrix.

Even the minority with modest debt levels and some savings are chained to their jobs to support a lifestyle of consumption they've been programed to pursue and don't need to be happy. In the land of the overfed and over indebted it's not surprising that the overwhelming majority don't have the financial wherewithall or the self discipline to live modestly until they can gain the freedom to live independently.

A fortunate few are or will be able to do it over the next few years. And some of them are on this thread. But the percentage is very small.
