Even more interesting. NOK has clearly beat Qualcomm's phone manufactures to the 1X Voice-Only market.

What are you talking about? Kyo as well as just about every other Asian manufacturer has been selling 1x phones all year. All of these are in effect "voice-only" since neither VZ nor PCS wants to upgrade the software for data. Many of them are now selling for under $100 and basically free with a service contract. NOK hasn't even made to market yet.

Which is what I thought until Slacker pointed out the the Nokia 6385 which is Tri-Band 1X with Data uses the exact same PCB board as the single mode Voice Only unit.

It really is amazing how much commonality their is between the two Nokia models. The KYO seems to have many more components than either of the Nokia models.

Would love to hear an explanation....
