What this line fails to allow for is the probability that the terror created by random preemptive strikes against sovereign states will create many times more suicide bombers, with vengence against the US, than if we left well enough alone. We've played that movie already, with 7 billion into Afghanistan to "fight" the Russians, only to find out our money, weapons, and training, surprise!, comes back to haunt us. Maybe only civilians are smart enought to realize when you f* w. the bull you get the horn. Leave the bull and it's b.s. over there, keep them out of here. If they are willing to kill themselves to kill others, nothing other than exclusion or extermination will work. So exclude. And take away further reasons for recruiting, such as any presence in the Middle East, just to satisfy kings and oil barrons.
