Yup, it's an old story...unfortunately, it didn't work out as well as yours. My firm lost quite a bit on the SEBL deal in payments (as well as poor information management). I've been astounded at the number of times management (meaning the people actually involved overseeing the day-to-day operations) has made their wishes known above those of the actual users and implementors. Many software firms are good at hitting the "sweet spot" of VPs who don't know diddly about software, but happen to swing a big club. Misplaced expenditures in this country must be astounding. I've got another story for you, too. It's about when I was a kid and all we had was black and white TV.........
