I agree that wars can start that kill many because of the deaths of very few, but that just supports my contention that Israel will not be very restrained if tens of thousands of its people are dying.

I also agree that India's existance is in less danger then Israel's but

1 - That again supports the point I was making in that post. Countries are more likely to lose their restraint when they view their existence as being in danger.

and

2 - Israel's existence is not in too much danger at the moment (even if it is not a safe as India) and it will probably not be in mortal danger at least until an Arab nation builds a decent number of nuclear bombs. (and even then it has deterrence which worked for the US and USSR and so far has worked for the other nuclear powers).
