Dave, I am learning that net loss is different than net change in cash. However, for 2001 AMD's net drop in cash was greater than its net income loss even with considerable net borrowing.

For 02Q1 the net cash flow was also more than $100M greater than the reported loss (ignoring the $500M convertible bond). Some of this is due to the timing of debt repayment but I haven't considered either the last quarter cash flow or what this year will look like.
