GS's earnings seem to have saved the futures. Odd, really, since all their bretheren also had good numbers, and meanwhile, we've got downgrades on S and GM, QCOM estimates getting cut, NOK lowering growth rate again, GENZ getting obliterated (and other bios down too, as they're priced for success), an unexpectedly large trade gap, and the Yankees apparently missing an extra point in last night's extravaganza, and when they are less than perfect it's never good news. Still, it's nice not to have a big gap for once. Freepbriefing.com now says "have a Philly cheesesteak while you wait for the Philly Fed at noon." the freep
