That is your first mistake, linking the market to the economy. The market is having it's own problems, and when Martha Stewart is hauled before COngress to answer questions about insider trading, well, as Martha says, that ain't a good thing.

But, it was Daschle who held up the stimulus. Or don't you remember that infamous act of treason during a war time?

And of course, you are silly - last quarters GDP was what, around 5% positive growth, and you call that a recession?

If people think he is on the right track why is consumer confidence so low?

Because they now realize the extent to which our country has been infiltrated by the enemy during the 90's. The only criteria for entering the country had been a promise to vote Democrat.
