Bombardier Wins a $32 Million order for the Refurbishment
of Passenger Coaches for the UK

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--JUNE 25, 2002 - 10:04 EDT
Bombardier Transportation has been awarded a
contract for the heavy maintenance and refurbishment of 75
passenger coaches operated by a UK train operating company,
Chiltern Railways. The total value of the contract is
approximately $32 million Cdn (pounds sterling 14 million).
Deliveries of the refurbished coaches are scheduled to take place
between September 2002 and December 2004.

The Bombardier Transportation facility located in Ilford in the UK
will be responsible for the refurbishment of the Class 165
vehicles, including full vehicle repaint and interior enhancements
to the vehicles.

Andrew Lezala, President of Bombardier Transportation, Services
said: "By working in close partnership with our customer we have
been able to give an affordable new lease of life to trains that
have already given many years of service. Chiltern passengers will
now get a much improved 'new train' level of comfort."
