interesting -- the US invasion of IRAQ had some specific differences from what is occuring now. 1) Direct involvement of US. 2) International support for a limited specific maneuver. 3) Somewhat easy win for US -- that looked kind of easy going in. I see many differences with that conflict and the current one, but the primary one is: No easy quick solution that can be celebrated because it is out of US control.
