yeah, dispassionate might not be my exact word but I do believe that nobody should buy a stock because I like it, or someone else likes it do some research, read some background analysis get convinced use clowns like MiniWatt as a contrarian be careful of believing the mainstream press and by all means be watchful of discernable vested interests they are usually not in your best interest the financial world has a tremendous stake in the system but seriously, it will get tough to separate the higher gear of gold's rise from attached emotion that is sure to follow it much like a set of groupies girls trying to snag a toss from a rock band "artist" sporting greasy hair and a nose ring I like to be reminded of nearterm charts, longterm charts, and Elliott Waves the fascinating big waves to me now are two: Kondratieff's 70-yr cycle calls for BigAss BadTimes in next few years 2nd year Presidential cycle calls for "down hard" autumn for stocks very few exceptions for Prez2nd cycle and five previous full cycles for Kondratieff who was a Russian economist and earned a Stalin bullet I am sorry for getting emotional with Volt he irks me to no end with his ignorance and arrogance anything he doesnt understand is unimportant that is your clue of being a dangerous influence "we will be faaahn" is a last warning Volt was a friend, a cool guy but I listened to him too many times, almost fatally so much is my responsibility, but I want to shut his ass down from influencing me and anyone who wishes to benefit from any serious deep analytic thought which is what I attempt to do I have been accused of arrogance many times and JazzCat might be right about my being obnoxious but I share with you my analysis and 100's of hours of reading, pondering, analyzing, and discussing with real smart friends so please pardon me for being an asshole part of the time I just hope it aint more than 15%, my self-imposed limit / jim
