Invade Iraq, put a new party in power, seize the oil fields, etc. etc. All of that is in US control

We tried that with Iran. It didn't turn out too well.

was speaking in regard to Arab-Israeli conflict which has advanced to a different stage since Desert Storm -- and the tangential concerns of Al Qaida attacks here and abroad.

We can't make them make peace ... if war erupts over there in earnest, I think it is unlikely that the Israeli's simply go over there and kick some b*tt and it is done with .. things have changed.
