I believe that the estimate provided at the grant date (by Black-Scholes or whatever) is an ESTIMATE of the real cost, and that the ACTUAL value of the real cost is known precisely at exercise.

OK. Looks like you've raised yet another semantics issue. And you probably did so because the accounting for what you said .. is different than the accounting for what I said.

Please detail that accounting difference .. and remember you're not talking to an accountant.
