Tenchusatsu might think its TA mumbo jumbo, but the handwriting has been on the wall for some time.

I love how the "technical" guys parade in after the fact and say "look I was right all along" (even though no prediction was made).

It's easy to explain anything in hindsight, predictive modeling is far tougher to develop. I've worked with a statistical program called "Patterns" which was an early version of "technical analysis." It's good for catching breaks in trends, but only after the fact.

I prefer to view a stock in terms of something tangible:

If businesses stop upgrading IT, then profits for IT companies will drop, and their stocks will suffer. If demand subsequently increases, the profits will improve, and the stock will respond accordingly. That "technical analysis" has generally proven to be exceptionally accurate and it works of the simple high profits/growth = high valuation principle...
