That helps comparing soccer and American football. You said,"As a sport, I like soccer better (duh!) for the fact that is faster and continuous, no stop..." I agree, those are the main points that make soccer a more enjoyable game to both the player and to the audience. I also want to add a couple of points here to do further comparison about soccer and American football: *In soccer game a player can control, pass, do hat tricks or shoot the ball only by foot or body(and by brain, of course) but not by hand. This rule makes a fascinating challenge to the player. It take a lot of practices and balancing to do it well. This by itself is an very enjoyable art already and it makes soccer game unique and fascinating. *You already mentioned it, soccer is a faster and continuous game. American football game stops often because tackles are a major part of the game (correct me if I'm wrong). When I watch the game, I see a lot of referee's actions (a lot of whistles, hand signals, announcements etc.) It make the audience spend a big chunk of their time to watch the referee's "performance" in the game. *In American football game you need to wear heavy protective stuff to play in the game. While you don't need that in soccer. Which make soccer players free from extra burden and more able to perform to their physical limit. *In American football, you have to be a giant to play in a professional team. Soccer is for normal size people. Which make soccer game in line with the reality and more attractive to everyone. You just don't need to be a giant to be a hero! (American football fans, sorry, my opinion only).
