Paul, you still thinking that XAU at 80 will top this rally?

<<The Securities and Exchange Commission unanimously accepted a proposal for a new oversight system for corporate auditors>>

Disregard, it's a Band-Aid and will change nothing vis-a-vis coroporate (mis)behavior.<NG>

The only way the SEC regains function is 1) Get rid of the Pitt Boss and 2) Massive funding increases. Don't see it happening until 2005 at the earliest.

This is crazy! I hear most technology companies these days illustrate their "success" based on how much less their sales and earnings are declining compare to other tech companies!! This is sick.

They want investors to believe that minor decline is a good sign and they should be rewarded as winners. Sales for the Oracle dropped 16% in the latest quarter. Jeff Henley, CFO, warned that the company's revenues and earnings will come short again next quarter.

So, what year valuation should these companies receive? If we go to 1994-1996 levels, we still have approx. 50% reduction to work with.

Many charts including AMAT, INTC, QCOM, DISH, MU, IBM seem to show this path.

In this market, I also see regional banks holders(RKH) is reversing.
