Sort of an aside-- today I caught snippets of an interview with Andrea Yates' attorneys along with a side by side comparison of two interviews with her - the first not long after the murders, the second after several months on medication and counseling. The change was pretty profound.

I think your comment about realities is what made me think of that.
I was listening to a talk show about the Supreme Court ruling on the death penalty (had to turn it off because it was one of those hosts who YELL at you) and it got me wondering about how high a level of intelligence do you need to think in abstract moral terms? And however can we really measure that?
