I think we have yet to see millions of the NOK phones ship. they have tried for years to leave parts out and suffered degraded RF performance in all of them. This has repeatedly been their downfall since 1993 when they made their first phone. They want to optimize the design before it really works. How many recalls of the last versions have there been so far?

Well, I would think LWIN alone is up to about 2 million phones deployed. If you include the churn metrics.

The 5170 has been a wildly popular phone model in the low cost flat rate carrier department. And it appears that the 6370 is headed to keep their market share in these markets. The 6370 with it's greatly reduced BOM will probable be the closest thing to a sub $100 1X CDMA phone we will see in a while.

I believe LWIN who typically sells 1X phone models "susidy neutral" to the Nokia 5170 is selling the 6370 at $99 vs. $79 for the 5170. If their tradition of "subsidy neutral" is followed. That means the cost of the 1X 6370 is only $20 more than their 95B 5170.
