The situation is coming to the completion Jay. There's no dressing up and making up the situation to fool people that there is a end in sight for this recession.

It is going to be tough after the smoke clears up. Real tough. There are places where doing business no longer be an option unless a severe and painful deflation run its course. England is a case in point.

Lenders will be handed over a 'massa falida' ('bankrupt mass') with no value whatsoever. What would you do with the massa falida of a Marconi? A Lucent or a Nortel? Very little, I can tell you. The system has been drained completely of trust and accountability. You can even live the money in the system. But trust and accountability gone, it can move on.

Make no mistake. This situation whereas there were countries with money but no economic activity (Well, there was some economic activity, but that was mostly the shopping mall distributing the goods made in China and other places to which industry have migrate over the last 20 years.) and countries with economic activity but no money (just look to the Thailands' Indonesias and Brazils of this world) is no longer tenable.

Hold on to the vile metal, mate! Hold on to it!
