Elmer,

Could it be that AMD has yield problems and has to run flat out just to produce the meager number sold?

It could be, but there would be shortages of parts and there are no shortages. So something else may be a problem. We can speculate about bad yields on .13u parts. The problem obviously is not, and has not been on .18u parts, (definition of the problem being that AMD could not make enough to satisfy the demand), but we don't know about .13u, and nothng about .13u SOI.

The .13u parts hit the Pricewatch today, so in a few days, we will know about their availability.

Joe

They might have yield problems but I think considering ASPs it was more of a low demand problem. Or perhaps a binsplit problem. If binsplits where decent but AMD just could not produce that much I would expect ASPs to be higher.
