Destruction of dissent? In Afghanistan, that meant the Taliban shot critics in the back of the head. In America, that means appearing on cable TV news in a panel stacked against you, 3-to-1.

Good article. I really am amazed anyone would have their name associated with that piece E posted. And I really don't understand her argument that they didn't want to piss off their "friends" who had put their name on it without their knowledge.

I see that Tucson still has two daily newspapers, the Tucson Citizen and the Arizona Daily Star. Impressive accomplishment in the modern era, even if operating under a joint publishing agreement.

I'm laughing because so many of the things mentioned in that article are the very ones we raised with our friends (who didn't disagree, as it peculiarly turned out.)

It would be unkind to send them a link, right? (If I could find one....)
