Thanks for your detailed post! Thanks to tc, as well. I ran "msconfig" and was startled to see how much junk was firing when I boot up. I was able to improve from 55% free resources after a reboot to 79% now. I still don't think that's a lot to shout about, but I was afraid to kill some of those things that I didn't know what they do. Anyway, I'm in much better shape now than I was yesterday. Thanks!
