Well..... what I see (which how can you tell anything from reading chat boards?) is those who are still around are trading. They are hoping to catch stocks either long or short and just renting the shares just to make a buck here and there.

So...... if I'm right we have traders shorting and covering and that's what is leading to volatility in some of these stocks. That doesn't lead to a bottom because there is no real buying let alone holding.

Brokerages are trying to push stocks still on the one hand but worried over liability if they decline so they're also issuing cautious comments. As I see it they don't want everyone to just sell and leave (what good is one commission?) so they have to be pushing something. But we're just plain sick of it and that's why buy recommendations don't stick for more than a day (besides no matter what they say, valuations are not all that great from a historical perspective and without demand, growth isn't there, so they don't really deserve to go up much from here).

Case in point.... brcm with a target of 60 by MSDW a couple days ago. One of these days MSDW is gonna get a suit slapped on them, I just know it.
