Screwups, F&CKups, and Mistakes, does not a Conspiracy, make. A zillion failed political science majors all running to recreate the false pre-knowledge of Pearl Harbor theories into a new story for the new century, the Pre-knowledge of 9-11, is just more Urban Legend for the True Believers.

Next you will be telling me that because you have a level that says the land is flat, that the ENTIRE world is flat. You Flat-Earthers need to create an explanation for what confuses you.

I only wish the true believers were not so confused.

They need to divert attention off real world problems by creating conspiracy theories takes use away from the real storys. The real problems in the middle east, the real problems on Wallstreet.

What sells to masses as the hottest story is not always the best story.

Show me where the SEC did anything that was Proactive, where the caught a company before they ripped off investors, or even while they were doing it. The SEC was nowhere in 1998, 1999, and 2000 that is the real story.

So to the big story of what the government knew about 9-11 before 9-11, did they know more, Yes, in a perfect world could they have figured it all out? Yes. Did people and Agencies screw up, Yes.

Enjoy your conspiracy, but I think its just Denial of reality

The explanations offered by the Bush Administration over the last 48 hours will not withstand even the slightest scrutiny if a major press organization asks any question about the warnings received from credible foreign government sources and heads of state. Other questions must inevitably follow that will implode an oil dictatorship whose sins and crimes are exposed and just waiting for someone to pick them up and run with them. This statement at the end of your long winded post makes you sound like your losing touch with your brain cells DougR. The CIA and NSA were getting thousands of credible intelligence scraps, that were just short of having enough detail to act on. Attacks from car bombs to plane bombs into buildings/nuclear powerplants, etc. Thousands of these sort of threats every day. Which one of the thousands, should the Clinton administration have jumped on?? Which one should Bush have jumped on?? 20/20 hindsight tells us which one was right.

There simply is no defense against this in a free society. None. The only way is to take the fight to the terrorists and kill them pre-emptively - before they act. Exactly what the Bush team is doing.

"Oil dictatorship?" "Sins and crimes?" Go easier on that crack pipe DougR.
