Only in your wildest dreams will AMD ever get away with selling Clawhammer for $1000.

I am with you on this one. Once Clawhammer becomes volume processor, it will sell fo normal $100 to $200 prices, probably breaking $100 barrier in early 2004.

This is completely and totally market/economy dependent. Under current conditions, you are absolutely right, no possible chance of selling anywhere near $1000. However, if the consumer market for PCs were to revisit the good ole days of only 2 or 3 years ago, and hammer were to meet or exceed expectations, and... (shhhhh, don't wake me ;-)
