Put yourself in their place and ask yourself if you would feel the same as you do now. I have already tried that. We never know how we will deal with certain things until we're faced with them so I can't be sure how I would feel. I know that I have never wanted retribution for anything done to me as an adult. I don't know for sure how I would feel if someone really close to me were murdered, but I imagine I would rather know why than to see the murderer dead. Of course, getting both would be even better.
