As a general rule of thumb, Nasdy tends to behave at 1/3 what the Dow does, so down 120 points DJIA means NASDy is in the vicinity of 40 down. Certainly, this is not exact and wider variances occur. But I haven't seen the disparity as extreme as 24 pts/178 pts since early 2000.

It coincides with my comments in the past month that the Dow had way more damage ahead than NASDy.
