A goalie's 50/50 dillema. Does Friedel come off the line and punch out the cross GER scored on? Or stay back and play the shot (and rely on a perfect shot to score).

A very difficult question to answer... in general, unless you, as a goalie are absolutely certain you will get it, then you should not wonder out, as you leave the door open and vulnerable... and of course, unless you are the goalie... how can you tell what he is thinking he can so...?

Still, a fabulous goal by BRA, but I'd like to play the 100 rule (one in a 100 goes in -g/ng-)

You should know that no statistics like that apply to Brazilians... that is precisely why they are such brilliant players... they are simply gifted in a special way; I do not know why, they just are that way...

If you can... watch videos of the previous Brazilian teams (particularly from that era of late 60's to early 70's ... There is a reason why they call Pelé "O Rei" (The King, --of soccer of course, and no, he is not Elvis -gg) He was simply magical, no one could do what he could. Individually he was brilliant, a virtuoso, but he also had this creattivity and ability to serve balls to other players so they could score as well... that team had so much talent. Usually, teams have one two and even three of these super stars.. that team, was full of them. They all were virtuosos of the game.

Also watch Amarildo and Garrincha... Garrincha was a wing forward, he actually had his legs naturally "crooked" along the lines of a "cowboy" like this ---> ( )

I do not know if that had something to do with his ability to manage the ball and drive every defense totally crazy when he was attacking... he was awesome...

BTW, I forget to mention the courage it took SI to put soccer on the cover over Tiger, Lakers championship and Red Wings Cup. Hehe, I can't wait to read the letters....-ggggg-

Are you smoking something ? -g
