Thank you, Nadine. I am glad to see you. I have not been involved in this thread, but tfowler knew this would draw my particular interest, and he was right. I am horrified at the possibility of a new Holocaust, if Israel is abandoned by the United States, or forced to make unwise concessions. I am not eager to see the Palestinians dispersed by force, either, since they cannot count on the Arab powers to provide adequately for them, and I do not wish Israel to be tainted by such an extreme resolution. There is nothing to do but militarize the territories, quash the insurrection, and show the Palestinians once and for all that they will only get misery if they persist in blowing up schoolchildren, or cheering on the bombers. Oslo is dead as a doornail. What Shamir used to call "autonomy plus" is the best that the Palestinians can get in the foreseeable future, and continued security problems might wreck that as an option.......
