<<I dont think anybody in the world wants stocks anymore, who would after all this????? Probably when the naz gets to zero might be a good time to dip buy, otherwise I wouldnt even take the stocks for free the way they r acting....>>>
Have gone very negative last few weeks. I think we have lost the game.Averages down and no bottom in sight - except for those who play with figures.
We have a war cannot be won (decisively) and enormous expenses
Budget surplus must have vanished, balance of payments still worsening.
Euro nearly back to $1.
Japan markets dropping
During the deflation of the Nas, I might comment that "they" wanted every dollar back that was invested in techs. It may be worse than that, in that the public always pays and brokers will find a way to continue plundering money left in broker accounts.
To sum up, P/E's are way too high for the present world situation.
There are far too many shares of big caps( actually of most any stock) in the hands of funds. They dont need to buy more at any price so cannot get major moves up.
Its not safe out there !
Sig.
.Now going for some puts- a bit late, but seems worth a try

Check out the charts on SI for INTC and MOT (among others). Huge spikes in volume, 'specially INTC. Even Barron's had a modest endorsement of INTC based on valuation of about 20 times earnings for a dominant franchise.
I'm not saying it's time to buy, I'm saying there's somebody out there (Magellan?) putting some money to work in select large cap, beaten up tech, now that tech is down 75 percent and everyone agrees that all tech stocks will be dead money forever. MOT has been around for 100 years (give or take), has already been through the wringer, has gone through a couple of restructurings.
This is what I've been talking about: real companies, not the IPOs from two years ago or some "visionary's" dream of a world without wire.
