Euro-zone Economic Calendar - Week Ahead PARIS (Dow Jones)--Key euro-zone economic data next week include the June German Ifo business sentiment survey. This is expected to rise slightly from May, due to a stronger euro, but will likely be capped by falling stock markets. An improvement of the Ifo index would confirm economic recovery in the euro zone starting in the second quarter, but would increase the chance that the European Central Bank may hike interest rates in the near future. Another key element for ECB monetary decisions are the inflation figures, to be released by Germany and France at the beginning of the week and Italy on Friday. These data are all expected to fall and, along with the strong currency, could limit the need for the ECB to raise rates as soon as July. The estimated consumer price index for the euro-zone in June is due Friday and it is expected to fall below 2%, the ECB's ceiling. M3 money supply, the second pillar of the ECB's monetary policy, will be also released next week and is expected to rise at the same pace on a monthly basis in May as in April, but to post a slight decrease on an annual basis.
