It's the same thing all over Bill..... there are a few stocks out there that have been in big huge multi year trading ranges that have broken down. Amgen is another. They must have been "loved" stocks but the fundamentals were never good enough to break from the range. So.... when they broke below it, it showed that there was something wrong. Institutions just weren't going to support it at those levels for some reason, whatever that might be. It was an easy call.... and that's the real reason that I'm worried. Stocks really really really look quite ill... like institutions can't or won't support them for whatever reason (supply < demand might be the only reason, but without demand they ain't going up).

My real fear is that they are telling us that the econ is in trouble.... like the telecoms and software stocks told us before ceo's did. I know of course that there IS a bottom and I know those who manage to buy there are going to be happy in 10 years, but where is that? Down another 50%? Before you say no, it can't be..... did you think jdsu would be under 3?
