It was a long, hard, 4 years in development, but the production release of Merced / Itanium in 1998 was worth the wait.

What's that? Itanium missed its 1998 scheduled date?

Did it ship in 1999?

Did it ship in 2000?

Did it ship in 2001?

Will there be anything but "pilot" systems and freebee's from Intel in 2002?

Isn't the expected cancellation date for the whole sorry mess 2003?
