Mike, I cannot discuss this, conflict of interests. But that will not negatively impact QCOM at all, au contraire it will enhance its position.

Nothing new in article. It has been hashed around for a couple years now. Arraycom has been trying to get carriers to use its smart antennas for years with limited success. The capacity gains they quote are very generous. Ultra wideband is interesting and there are some deep pocket technology companies trying to develop the technology. I believe that Wi-Fi will be more of a force than either of these two technologies. In fact, I read recently about a company developing Wi-Fi systems that can transmit up to 5-6 miles. Access points are cheap. Modem cards are cheap. Could potentially give cable and DSL a run for its money if the there is any truth to the distance claims.

No QCOM killer for the near and medium term.

21.52 and 15.38 are the two remaining support points for QCOM, above pre-1999 levels. If it breaks the May low of 24.63.
