oh, well you ARE a writer, no wonder...

To me the World Cup is more important than the UN.
Not sure how the refs are picked but,

1. there should be a 4 year referee school.

2. ref should be randomly picked just before the game to prevent from bribery. (I am guessing some refs were 'bought' under the table)

3. ref performance should be reviewed AFTER each game by FIFA and only the PROVEN ref should be on World Cup.

The point behind all this is that the officiating must be fair. For God's sake, this is the World Cup. The winner must be decided on the field and not by some third-rate garden league officials. I wonder who the genius was at FIFA who decided to select the officials based on their last names rather than merit.

As far as Italy is concerned, let's just say that it's 6 bad calls against Brazil's 1 bad call.
