do you have a symantec product on your machine? one that uses liveupdate?

here's another page. note that each have Start Job Report and End Job Report, indicating that log files are available. have you looked for a report or log file within your back up software? is there an option setting somewhere that you can select to view such a report after completion of the back up job?
