I doubt the members of the catholic church think celibate men or women are experts on sexual matters. The church guidance is interpertation from god thru the pope. So members who go along with their suggestions or church law is a result of a matter of faith. and no acknowledgement of their expertise in sex matters....
I believe most Catholics do not accept the pope position on contraceptives and therefore have lost faith in this particular area... if not in many , many areas...
