Jerry has always had a problem of putting employees before the shareholders. He has this "AMD is my family" philosophy, shareholders be damned. Not a good attitude to have in the current economic environment.

AMD has to bite the bullet and go for extreme measures of cash preservation. This means severe cuts in non-critical payroll and costs. I don't see the current nonchalant attitude changing yet.
