Ron,
I have money but don't know if tech is the first place to put it now even in a rally. If you go back to March 2000 top of 5000, you can see now that the bear really began in non-tech at the end of 1999.
Market was headed down before 9/11. 9/11 brought it to its knees but apparently also cause a premature rally(bear mkt version). Now we have naturally come back to pre-9/11 prices and now lower. The 9/21 low sits there like a target and i would be surprised if we didnt go thru it at least intra-day this coming week. At the time the Zeevs of the world should kick in with buying(what?). Cary will buy amat, altr etc. I am not sure chips will be the best place. mike
PS By the way in my business (tech to financial industry) I have opened six new accounts in the last two months after almost two years with NO new accounts. We are winning this business from folks who are failing--this is an argument for buying the leaders and that translates to large caps which goes against the current CW.
