Hmmm. So you're homophonic.

Better be careful spelling that one, or you might get accused of entirely the wrong thing.

Have you ever considered what it is that makes you pick the more unusual spelling for the one you're aiming at?

cite for sight one can explain by your legal background.

But gaited for gated? Surely a less common word.

Is it just that you like uncommon words?? Or something more than that?

I found this tidbit in the ombudsman column of today's Tucson paper. I thought it was cute. By way of background, they've just had a huge fire there.
