Yup, the bagholding stockholder will take the fall as the new paradigm dictates. Why FNM has stock to begin with is beyond me. In fact, why don't they just get rid of all stocks and have only bonds? Much more transparant IMO.

Since property depreciates less than equipment and appreciates as well, its a lot better.
