Sure you say that, but you have difficulty explaining why Intel needs 10 x the fabs to produce 5 x the product.

Harry, I'll ask the same question I always ask and no one ever answers. Please list the products running in Intel's fabs and their allocated capacity. You can't so why do you make silly statements like the one above?

Hmaly,

Re: "The Bees, particularilly Yousef, feel like UMC will never be the equal of Intel
at process. Don't bet on it."

I have never made any comments on Taiwan engineers not being smart. INTC
has many engineers from Taiwan in design and process. You don't understand the
difference between INTC's process (for CPU's) and UMC's process (for ASIC's).
INTC has many generations of experience optimizing the performance of their
FET architecture. UMC's process history has been in ASIC's which don't require
FET performance but need metal density for routing. These are two
very different processes and UMC will NOT come up to speed in one or
two generations. Sorry.

Make It So,
Yousef
